My inspiration for this quilt was the French cartoonist Leo Fontan. His paintings most always contained irony. I decided to add my own twist and art style into this quilt, while following Leo's style. The woman in the picture symbolizes the fashion and everyday lifestyle of a French woman. Stitches create the beauty of Paris in the background on cloth imitating the rain. The frame symbolizes the high Parisian fashion.
